Gallery Bridgnorth 2011
Written by Vicki Norman Friday, 08 July 2011
Now in its second year the re-established Gallery Bridgnorth project is set to be bigger than ever with over 30 artists exhibiting this year!
As a collaborative scheme between local artists and independent businesses in the town centre, the project sees artworks displayed in shop windows all around Bridgnorth.
An Arts Trail Map and puzzle have been produced as part of the Festival programme this year: gather a clue from each participating arts venue to complete a puzzle on your way around - great for families and 'grown-ups' too! The project aims to provide a platform for local artists to show their work in a less formal environment than a typical gallery setting. We hope to bring our wealth of local talent to the attention of people who may not usually have the opportunity to enjoy art.
We are also delighted to announce that Lewis' Brasserie on High Street have kindly offered to host our group exhibition this year. They will display one piece of work from each participating artist for the duration of the festival from August 27th to September 4th. This will offer a great opportunity to see the wide range of work and diverse styles in one venue - an impressive collection we're sure you'll agree!
