Rock Festival at the Edgar Davies Rugby Pitch Update

Rock Festival at the Edgar Davies Rugby Ground on Saturday 27th August.
The first big event of this year Bridgnorth Music Festival is the new, day-long open air rock festival at the Edgar Davies Rugby Club ground just off Bandon Lane in Bridgnorth.
This festival-within-a-festival includes seven rock bands and seven acoustic acts providing non-stop live music from 12.00 noon to around 9.30 in the evening. The bands cover a wide range of rock genres including:- progressive rock, classic rock, grunge, blues rock, alternative rock and heavy rock, headlined by long-established rock act “Stray”. “Stray” are travelling up to the festival from London and will be joined by Wolverhampton band “The Clock Tower”, “The Picture” from Dudley, “Twisted Species” from Market Drayton and “The Dreaming Tree” from Telford and Wolverhampton. Local Bridgnorth bands “SheBangg” and “Clear Vinyl” complete the rock line-up.
Playing in between the band sets will be a variety of well known and less well known acoustic acts:- including Graham Clews, Juke Joint John, Rob Cooper and Friends, Tweety and Bongo, and roots reggae artist Fred Wisdom. Also taking to the acoustic stage will be the guitarist and founder of “Stray” Del Bromham himself.
The event will be held under a large marquee and includes a bar, pig roast and a variety of other stalls including a tattoo artist! Entry is free and open to all.

Also new to the festival this year and in true festival style….. camping will be available for the duration of the first weekend of the festival! This will be situated at the far end of the Edgar Davies Field. The charge will be £10 per night for tent, caravan or motor home. There will also be portable toilets on site and it may be possible to use the shower facilities in the pavilion for an extra charge.
