Big Funding Boost

Huge thanks to Shropshire Council who have shown their support to this year's festival in the form of £5,000!
We are delighted to have received this financial backing which we hope shows the festival is continuing to go from strength to strength and receiving more and more support from local people.
Thanks in particular to the Local Joint Committee and to two local councillors Les Winwood and Christian Lea who represent Bridgnorth Wards and have spoken enthusiastically and supportively on our behalf.
This funding is vital to us as we aim to keep the event as a free festival, which means people can pop into venues throughout the area this summer and enjoy a local band, artist or stand-up act, free of charge.
The event backs local and national artists and brings a lot of people into Bridgnorth and the surrounding area, so it makes sense that we are being supported in this way by the local council.
Of course local businesses have already put their faith in us with a number of you either staging raffles or donating very generous prizes to help raise additional much needed funding.
The latest raffle was a Valentines Raffle and was held in The George pub and raised £243. Prizes to date have been donated by Bambers Restaurant, The Black Boy, The Bell & Talbot, Bridgnorth Delicatessen and Casa Ruiz.
It means so much to us to have the support of local people and businesses in Bridgnorth. It shows that you are serious about keeping the festival going in the town, because of the opportunities it provides for aspiring and confirmed artists, as well as the much needed boost it gives annually to the local economy.
